Review of Life of Pi (2012) by Buggy B — 11 Nov 2014

Despite all the hype this film just doesn't do it for me. Granted the visual effects are stunning but at the end of the day it just felt like it was missing something. Unlike Castaway & Gravity I just couldn't connect with the character & wasn't gripped by tension as I hoped for a happy ending for the character & in the end I had more compassion & empathy for the animals on board the lifeboat.

True it's a tragic story of a young teenage boy surviving a shipwreck in the Pacific & losing his family in the process but sadly it's just feels soulless.
