Review of Life of Pi (2012) by Brandon W — 09 Mar 2015
It's really hard to make a survival movie interesting and can easily be boring and forgettable. But so far there are films like Cast Away, Gravity, and tho that are done very well. The acting is really good with newcomer Suraj Sharma who is great in this, and the plot is really interesting.
The effects are a masterpiece which created the most realistic tiger ever which I'm glad that it got some accolades for it. the movie develops the main character well which I'm glad because it's a main step for making the survival movie very interesting, and actually make me care for the main character.
Ang Lee did a fantastic job directing this and it could've been so shaky that I wouldn't be able to know what's going on. David Magee also did a great job of writing the movie which the consensus say that the book is "unfilmable".
As an added bonus, I saw the movie in 3D, and it's the best 3D I have ever seen in a movie which more movies hold be like this. Life of Pi is a masterpiece that still gives a reason why Ang Lee is a famous director.
