Review of Life of Crime (2013) by Alan W — 17 Dec 2014
28 years ago, we had Ruthless People and now we have an updated homage/remake/rip-off (delete as appropriate) in Life of Crime. While there is some charm in the kitschy 70s style cinematography and in the performances of Hawkes and Anniston, it doesn't really matter how good they are, it still couldn't have saved this fairly predictable, (too) broadly sketched and unsophisticated script from being a mediocre and, sadly, forgettable Elmore Leonard adaption.
