Monty Python's Life of Brian is their most ambitious film yet. It's a piece of comic gold with extremely clever satire on so many classic stories as well as spoofing such original pieces as Spartacus (1960).

It's so goddamn hilarious and a satire that's as great as the Stanley Kubrick classic Dr Strangelove or How I learned to stop worrying and love the Bomb. It takes a few years before the clever satire sinks in if you're watching it at a young age, but given enough time you will laugh again and again and again. Like Monty Python and the Holy Grail, this is a comedy classic and one of the greatest comedies ever made.
