Review of Life of Brian (1979) by Loy M — 05 Sep 2013

I got hold of this movie by accident and started to watch it too by accident. But the minute I turned it on, I was absolutely glued to it. All I can tell you is that this is British Comedy at its best.

John Cleese, Graham Chapman, Michael Palin, Eric Idle and Terry Gilliam are the main actors - who are also the writers of this religious satire. Terry Jones takes on the helm as the Director and also contributes as one of the lead actors and also its writers.

Life of Brian tells the story of Brian Cohen (played by Chapman), a young Jewish man who is born on the same day as, and next door to, Jesus Christ and is subsequently mistaken for the Messiah.

Let me tell you this - even though the movie is so old, it still remains true to its title 'One of the Funniest Movies Ever'. I highly recommend you to watch it - but only if you can handle religious satire.

Brilliant. Bold. Bashful. British - I loved it!
