Review of Life Itself (2018) by Peter L — 03 Oct 2018
F#@k the critics! I love this movie. It's a tragic, romantic, smart, and beautiful film. The acting was fantastic. I especially liked Oscar Isaac's performance. The story was great. It kept me engaged throughout.
Even once I caught on to the sort of gimmick. It continued to surprise, startle, and delight me. I liked the sort of literary/philosophy angle. I guess lots of critics think this sort of thing isn't quite right for movies.
Well, I've got to say that I completely disagree. I'm now absolutely convinced that I can't trust the official RT rating to be the judge of what appeals to me.
