Review of Life Itself (2018) by Mackenzie M — 21 Sep 2018
If you're expecting a dramatically, emotionally, happy experience - you are sadly mistaken. Prepare yourself for a gruesomely, heavy portrayal of a young couple's demise within the first 30 min; definitely not for the faint of heart.
Brief periods of delight are overshadowed by the film's series of unfortunate events. The trailer for this movie could be best deemed as a false advertisement for a This is Us spinoff; a stark contrast between which heartstrings are being plucked.
Unfortunate that strong actors and actresses were used to portray a traumatically intertwined story which strays away from the beauty of life through love - in order to poorly convey the importance of cherishing.
