Review of Life Itself (2014) by Greg F — 18 Jul 2014
I think I cried for every reason you can cry during this documentary. It's odd posting a review of a film where the subject matter happens to be the man that served as the main inspiration for popular film criticism.
For better or worse, I am deeply connected to Ebert's life and work. He changed the trajectory of my life as much as one can without ever meeting the other and Steve James' film justifies that power.
Deeply involved, completely self-effacing and beautiful.
