Review of Life Itself (2014) by Bank Tharin P — 07 Feb 2015
A poignant and emotional documentary, expertly directed by Steve James, who directed the 1994 film "Hoop Dreams" which was widely championed by Roger Ebert and his partner Gene Siskel. Life Itself crams so much into it's 2-hour running time, it almost seems like it needed another 30-40 minutes to fully explore the life of this fascinating man.
It does manage to show the incredible courage that Ebert and his wife Chaz exhibited during all the trials and tribulations they experienced through multiple cancer surgeries. A very special film.
