Drama about a working class British family in the eighties. Mike Leigh's film is driven by a great clever screenplay that feels so true in its portrayal of the everyday drama, which is sometimes nothing short of tragedy, in a realist way that is sometimes amusing in the simplest ways.
The screenplay also inspires some wonrderul performances by its cast.
