Review of Life in a Day (2011) by Chung Hang M — 03 Aug 2011
While the film is a good cross-section of who we are as people on this planet, I feel there are segments that are more rehearsed and staged than really capturing the reality on 24 Jul 2010. Some of the people shown are online personalities with active video blogs, so maybe the movie should be more appropriately titled "Life in a Day of the YouTube Population".
While the "samples" chosen are quite wide ranging, it seems some important ones, namely China (probably because YouTube is banned) are not featured. That takes away a bit of the relevance to today's world because isn't everything tied to China these days?
Expected too much, still enjoyed it, but I have to say... I can't stand hand-held (amateur) recordings, which makes me sick, literally.
