Review of Life in a Day (2011) by Christian W — 06 Aug 2011
Exactly what I hoped and expected from Ridley Scott. "A magnificent achievement," as the pro critics have proclaimed, gives this movie justice. Go in expecting more than that and you'll be disappointed, but it does reach that and does it beautifully till the last credit is off the screen.
It's a bit slow-moving sometimes, but I like that. I sat there in the theater and, in one sitting, I cried (two or three times), I laughed (two or three times), and I got a headache from the stress of fear and horror which I'm personally prone for, which I'd say is a good mark for the movie because most people don't have my problem and eat that up.
;) Mostly it was just moving. You see people from all walks of life, from the poorest to the richest, all side by side, back and forth. You really feel like you're part of a diverse world, the melting pot of cultures that our planet is.
