There are a few truly beautiful moments in this montage that may reassure viewers of the film's inspired goal, but there are only a few -- and everything else seems as insignificant and mundane as life before and after the bookend credits roll.

And if that's the point, I admit having been fooled by the notion it was trying to broaden perspectives and motivate cross-cultural acceptance.
