Review of Life As We Know It (2010) by Jacob S — 13 Aug 2011
I guess the reason why I somewhat enjoyed this movie was because I had nothing to do so anything could have entertained me. Look I'm sure any of you can predict the ending and the plot is nothing new but if you have nothing to do one night then I'm sure this movie will at least entertain you or keep you busy.
I guess it's because of the chemistry between the leads and the fact that they do make a charming couple. The baby is cute too of course but at times I felt she was just used as a prop. Katherine Heigl manages to play the same character in every movie but at least she's good at it.
Josh Duhamel was good too and it's kind of sad because he does have potential, he can do so much better. This at times did feel like a sit-com but at least there were a bunch of funny and touching moments.
I wouldn't say the script was poor but it could have been better. I'm not saying that I loved this movie as it was predictable and at times it did feel like a sit-com but I did like it. It kept me entertained I guess mostly because of the characters, the chemistry between the leads, and the fact that they were actually charming together.
Honestly I would really only recommend it if you don't have something to do one night, you might actually enjoy it then 2.5/4 stars.
