Review of Life As We Know It (2010) by Jillian L — 22 Jan 2012
Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from this movie. I do like Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel, which was pretty much why I decided to see it. Thankfully, it rose above my minimal expectations. The script is more in-depth than the trailer depicts.
And although predictable, as is usual, there were more twists and turns to get to that eventual end than a normal romcom. Also, very realistic. Having two single, career driven people being forced to take care of a baby is no easy feat, and the movie was not shy of pointing that out.
Solid acting performances from the ensemble as a whole. Also, my fave Gilmore Girl, Melissa McCarthy played a neighbor, which made me happy :) The baby in that movie, played by adorable triplets, was absolutely adorable.
So, if you're looking for something mostly light hearted with some truly heartfelt moments, than go for it.
