Review of Life as a House (2001) by Jay A — 05 Jan 2008
I must admit that I'm a sentimentalist and this movie hit all the right notes. People say that it is a rip off of American Beauty but I say that it is a nicer more meaningful version of the darker Beauty.
Kevin Kline is awesome as the terminally ill father and Hayden Christensen earns his acting chops (finally) as his turmoiled son.
This is a beautful movie and I wish I knew something about home construction so I could build one with my kids someday.
