Review of Life as a House (2001) by Brandon O — 15 Aug 2009
A very moving film that is heartfelt without being too sappy. A beautiful examination of the importance of choices made in life in response to what life throws at us. The theme of the dreamhouse finally being built as mirroring Kevin Kline's character finally working on what he needs to in his life would have been easy to make heavy-handed yet the writer was able to avoid this.
Quirky and a pleasure to watch, it leaves one contemplating the choices we make to make our life have meaning.
