Opens your eyes to the political and economic issues that Jamaicans face on a daily basis. It made me want to get a book learn more about Jamaica's history and possible solutions to their problems.
As a black American, her discussion of carefree tourists to Jamaica is not so much guilt inspiring as it is eye opening because while her focus is class and nationality based, it seems like much of her frustration is directed at the white west.
