Review of Life After Beth (2014) by Marischa B — 25 Oct 2014
Small bits of humor and a few good performances are wasted on an empty story. Plazza and Dehann are great with their roles, and do the best that is given them. Plazza shows range and comedic sensibility, but the story is too pointless and irate that you won't be able to care about any of the characters.
It's stressful more than it's entertaining. And ridiculous more than it's clever.
This is a perfect example of when a great pitch and a bad script. I can just hear the producer saying "Zombies and love!? HAR HAR, take all the money you need!".
