Review of Life (2017) by Alistair L — 27 Jul 2017
Is there life on Mars?!!! Could be, maybe not as we know it though ... this film plays wonderfully on that fear. Soil samples are brought back to a Space Station where they try and stimulate activity in dormant cellular life they find on Mars .
.. and whaddya know, they have some success, but mistakenly treating it life a new born baby (Ooooohhh, look, we found life on another planet) ... with deadly consequences, as all it wants to do is survive! Life is completely OTT, but enjoyable - partly because it does not take itself too seriously.
Not quite sure what Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal are doing here, but lets not complain, they're both like-able stars that you automatically root for to survive ... but will they?
