It was your cliched "alien and in space no one can hear you scream" flick. I did enjoy the acting and directing but it was so predictable it became a snooze-fest.
I was going to forgive the flaws until the ending. Still cliched and predictible but the main 'thrill' is hoping for a better end which isn't delivered. The world ends on screen before Trump, N Korea, ISIS, or redneck intolerant twats doom us all... I guess the movie wasn't that bad after all.
