Licorice Pizza is basically a film where an acclaimed director thinks romanticizing the dysfunctional relationship between a 25 year old woman and a 15 year old boy is artsy and sweet. We're supposed to get butterflies in our bellies because this grown woman is flirting with a child.
Reverse the genders and there would have been OUTRAGE. It doesn't matter how cinematic and pretentiously artsy you try and make it, the entire premise of this film is weird and highly problematic.
