Review of License to Wed (2007) by Darcy L — 26 Apr 2009
This film is a very light, instantly forgettable but well intentioned romantic comedy. Despite Robin W playing a rather creepy minister who offers a course on marriage preparation, the film did have a simple and important message -All couples should really make sure they are absolutely ready to commit before they tie the knot.
Watching Krasinski and Moore (cutest fake couple ever) go through the trials and tribulations of William's crazed program including role play and abstaining from sex to their eventual wedding day was fun to watch and occasionally hilarious.
I especially loved the robot babies and think everyone involved did a decent job. This film is definitely less cheesy and predictable than most wedding genre films of late.
