Review of License to Drive (1988) by Jordan R — 31 May 2007
An awesome Corey and Corey film. Next to 1989's 'Dream A Little Dream', this was the best offering from CoreyMania. Everything about the film seemed to echo towards myself, because I had quite a problem with the beginnings of driving.
I didn't boost my grandfather's car to go on a joyride without a license, but the hydroplane subplot, the experiences with the DMV, and the overall mentality of a driver's license representing a license to live were elements that I could relate to.
Plus, I'm just an '80s child, so I can say that although the film had some far-fetched misadventures, this is a true classic. Get out of my dreams, get into my car...
