Review of Licence to Kill (1989) by Ryan C — 18 Jun 2018
I can't lie I've seen all 23 James Bond movies and this one still manages to be my favorite. It's like James Bond vs Scarface in a revenge story that's very gritty. This is probably the most violent James Bond movie to date but that's not why it's my favorite (at least not my main reason.
) My main reason is it just works. Timothy Dalton in my opinion is the only actor who ever played James Bond who could've pulled off this role. The fight scenes are legendary and the acting is surprisingly really good.
This one doesn't have any gadgets because Bond quit MI6 and he turned in his Licence to Kill. It's a straight up revenge film with plenty of twist and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat.
