Review of Licence to Kill (1989) by Morgan H — 10 Nov 2012
One of the darkest and most violent of the Bond series, Licence to Kill presents us with a brooding, vengeful Bond on a personal vendetta. Played here with intensity by Timothy Dalton, this Bond is a lean killing machine who would probably feel more at home in a film akin to Terminator or Robo-Cop (Dalton's noticeable lack of wit contributes largely to this).
The staples of the franchise remain however, with a strong Bond girl (a CIA agent) and a nasty drug baron for the villain.
