Review of Licence to Kill (1989) by Jon C — 12 Nov 2012
A solid Bond, and a bit of a deviation. Before Daniel Craig toughened him up and straightened him out, Timothy Dalton gave it a whirl, and not without some success. In this one Bond gets mean, gets personal, and goes rogue, and the results are refreshing.
The bad guy is pretty bad, but is just a drug dealer and not intent on destroying the world or something. The last Dalton Bond, but also the last John Glen Bond, who directed them throughout the 80s.
