Review of Licence to Kill (1989) by Briain D — 27 Dec 2013
A strong showing from the most underrated Bond. Timothy Dalton took James Bond from the era of Roger Moore, where he was a funny (sometimes too much so) and often difficult character to take seriously, to a more intense and ruthless secret agent.
Many will argue this is not the right way for Bond to go, but I disagree. Licence to Kill is a strong film, with excellent action scenes, particularly in the climactic finish, and an excellent bad guy, played by Robert Davi.
Bravo!
