Review of Licence to Kill (1989) by Dave G — 28 Jan 2019
A James Bond thriller that thinks outside the box as 007 goes undercover inside a criminal organisation for no reason other than revenge. Heâ(TM)s embroiled in the world of drug cartels and itâ(TM)s a plot ripped straight from the news headlines, which sometimes veers too close to the violent tone of a Die Hard or Lethal Weapon movie.
But Dalton is impressively intense, his relationships with the other characters believable, and Robert Davi is a three-dimensional antagonist who is a dangerous presence throughout.
