Review of Licence to Kill (1989) by Cameron B — 10 Jul 2012
Without a doubt the most violent James Bond film of all time, hence the only one to ever get a 15 certificate. Basically Bond's mate Felix has his wife murdered on their wedding day by a Baron Drugs Dealer and he is then fed to a shark who bites his leg off! Stronger Stuff than Moonraket hey! Anyway Bond seeks out revenge, it is a great but much darker Bond film, Dalton is superb and Robert Davi is brilliant as the Drugs Baron Sanchez.
Some great stunts in this one, The truck wheeling to avoid the missile is great to watch. If I was to be critical Sanchez girl Loupe coundnt act her way out of a paper bag and is probably the worst Bond Girl ever and all that stuff with Wayne Newton is bollocks.
It is good though to see Q getting a bigger part in this one. Its just a shame Dalton only did two films.
