Liberal Arts(2013).

Starring:Josh Radnor,Elizabeth Olsen,Richard JenkinsWritten and Directed By:Josh Radnor.

My Review.

"Life Is about finding someone on the same page".

This was a beautiful film that I would have loved to seen in theaters. It's a very beautiful feel good type of film and I like to see films like these and I remember seeing a review for this but I didn't read it. I just looked at the title and saw the director and stars. It was pretty cool to see in the description of the magazine the review was on that Josh Radnor famously known as Ted from How I met Your Mother directed, wrote and starred in the movie.

Josh Radnor's Liberal arts is an indie Film about a New Yorker who works as an admission officer in a college and is called up by his old professor played by Richard Jenkins to come to a retirement party and dinner. He meet's Zibby who opens him to become a better person to live, grow and awakens his long dormant feelings of possibility's and connections.

I like the character of Jesse and his friend Dean(John Magaro)they are two damaged individuals who are trying to cop with life and how disappointing there's has been.A lot like me I am someone who believes that my life is disappointing cause as hard as I try nothing ever seems to come my way and I'm not smart as I thought I'd be at this point in my life. In the beginning of the film and even by the front cover of the disc and poster I thought that this film would be a romance film, but I was greatly wrong,It's just a dramadey(word I made up mixture of Drama and comedy) but it was a still a beautiful one at that.

When the two characters of Jesse and Zibby played By Elizabeth Olsen meet I think that they are going to end up together but it's better then that. It's not a romance as I said but it feels like a coming of age story and I say because when Jesse sends Zibby a letter for the last time he say's "It took a junior to have me finally start acting my age" she was his friend and not his lover.

I am not a huge fan of Zac Efron fan but this is his best film that he's ever been a part of and I would like to see him in more roles like these. He plays a character named Nat who only appears sitting at a bench in the night and the first time he's on screen he just talks to Jesse, hears a party and grabs him along with him. They meet Zibby and Nat says to Zibby"Do you like Coffee?""No kidding so does my friend here maybe you two should have coffee sometime." Nat can see in Jesse's heart that he's damaged when he sees Jesse touch the tree for knowledge. He believes that Zibby might be the one to help Jesse.

Liberal Arts is a very beautiful film that I consider a great Quintessential and beautiful art film. A film with great characters and actors. The story is written with care and is told formally by a director that I have liked since I saw his acting as one of my favorite characters on television and I hope to see him direct and hopefully star in more films. Elizabeth Olsen was beautifully and I hope to see her in more films as well. I give Liberal Arts a five out of five.
