I can't imagine who these people are who rave about this bleak, depressing, unsatisfying film. There's no lesson in it at all. It is a LONG trek to the end of the film, and with all the wrong turns along the way, it feels even longer.
There are numerous events that occur off-screen, which would be fine if they were ever resolved, but few of them are. I enjoy foreign films, but this one just isn't worth the effort.
