Review of Leviathan (2014) by Will T — 01 Mar 2015
This movie takes place in a small town and yet the scope of it feels so grand. The cinematography of Northwest Russia is awesome. If you're a film buff who likes comedy that is so pitch black that its depressing, this movie might suit you nicely.
It's not really a comedy though, but it brilliantly points out the utter absurdity that is the Russian government. Also recommended for fans of Bergman. The influence is very apparent on this movie, plus the male lead resembles Max Von Sydow.
