As an experiential film, Leviathan is an absolute must-see. This grimy and briny film bashes against your senses and demands attention. For anyone looking for a typical movie, i.e one with a narrative, plot, characters, explanation, development or information, maybe look elsewhere.
Don't let that put you off, as the distant cousins of all those features are present in this eerie film that nails the sense of horror a true monster movie aims for.
