Its amazing how close this is to Alien. Just enough tweaks to not have to go through any legal battles. Great second-rate cast here, Peter Weller, Hector Elizondo, Daniel Stern, Richard Crenna. A "Stan Winston" creation that really really sucks (note to designer Tom Woodruff, Jr. who would later go on to an actual Alien remake with Alien 3.
Such a bad movie... but its got enough features that make it ripe for riffing.
