Review of Leviathan (1989) by Alec B — 20 Oct 2012
The characters and the setting are very clearly a reworking of 'Alien' (under the sea) and the monster is just a knock off of 'The Thing'. That said, its really just the ending of the film that's the most problematic.
It moves way too fast and the finale has a brief moment of extreme misogyny that's played for laughs . . . which is pretty disturbing.
