Review of Letters to God (2010) by Pamela P — 13 Apr 2010
Ok, I went to see this movie because my church family was going and the church was paying for it. I recodnised the concept from an old early 90's film called "Dear God" so I figured it was another ripp off.
but stupid me didnt realize that it was inspired by a true story. it being an independant religious film, you cant say it wasnt predictable but it did have it's moments. I loved the character of "Sams's Grandpa".
I nearly went crazt when I saw the kilts and dirks in his livingroom, not to mention that I always like the "wise old man" character. I wouldnt advise taking the family car/church bus to see this movie.
wait like 2-3 years when it's on TBN. im not saying it's a bad movie. it just isnt worth the 8 bucks, popcorn, blue icee, and reeses pieces in the theatre. a good rent at mest...but that's just my opinion.
