Though I've never been a huge fan of how Eastwood chooses his shots and ways to present scenes throughout his career, he's a master at making thought provoking topics into serious humanistic reflections.
Letters From Iwo Jima is fantastic on the way it gives us the other side of the pacific war, without being too preachy or by going into a single directions. It shows many different moods, states, situations that are times tough to bear but fantasticly portraid.
