Review of Letters from Iwo Jima (2006) by Sam W — 11 Jun 2011
A slow start to a long, emotionally driven film which shows the Japanese culture & viewpoint, with conflicting ideologies throughout. Good effects and character development, the film is humanistic & moving, but also comes across as daft in parts, and there isn't much gore or violence.
