A really top war film. Shows the story from the other angle, the vanquished. The action scenes are excellent but it the other perspective that makes this good. A film that humanises the Japanese is long overdue from Hollywood.
Not overly sentimental, it strikes a good balance and is gripping throughout. Some great characters.
