Review of Letters from Iwo Jima (2006) by Scott H — 03 Jul 2011
This movie was absolutely moving in every way. Seeing this movie from the perspective of a Japanese soldier helps one to understand what they actually felt and emotionally went through during this war.
Eastwood and Speilburg created a masterpiece in every way, not demoralizing the Japanese or the Americans, but speaking the truth. This movie shows that both sides of the war can be brutal to each other and not just the Japanese were the cold-hearted.
This movie is recommended to anybody in my opinion because it demonstrates true experiences of war and does not put a bad spotlight on either side.
