Whilst treading on the most common territory of war films, Clint Eastwood adds the element of humanity and brings to us the pain felt by soldiers of any war. What is more great about this film is that it presents an unbiased view of war not based on the point of view of either sides.
Ken Watanabe and Kazunari Ninomiya are top notch and so are the other people in the cast. Technical brilliance all around too. An emotionally satisfying journey that will leave you in tears for sure.
