Between the two movies about Iwo Jima I think this one was better. Sure I'm American but I just found this story more fascinating then the other. The other one was just a picture that had nothing to do with winning and America just played on it to get our money.
The Japanese seemed to be protecting their land. Anyway, the movie was good. The characters were shown well and the stories from them seemed real. Worth watching.
