Review of Letter from an Unknown Woman (1948) by Gavin H — 14 Feb 2008
I had heard of the movie before but knew nothing about it. What I liked about it the most was watching characters who you don't usually see in movies, especially in those days. Instead of being the usual bland blonde, Fontaine is shy, complex and as described in the film "strange", but endearingly so.
Jourdan exudes charm and always has the ability to say the right thing. The plot is so tightly played out, something you rarely see these days.
