Definitely my favorite Marilyn Monroe role for all the things the film allows her to do! It's true that protagonist Yves Montand falls kind of short in making an impact in this film, but I didn't have much of a problem with this as he's put up against the likes of Monroe, Tony Randall, and Milton Berle. As bad as it sounds, it was a bit refreshing to refer back to that character that didn't have so much personality as all the other ones did.

The story is a case of mistaken identity, and an effort on Montand's part to get Monroe to fall in love with him without giving away who he really is. The main source of entertainment comes from the aforementioned personalities of the movie, Monroe who is a struggling actress, Randall who is a talented, but still struggling actor, and Berle, who plays himself in this one teaching Montand comedy.

Performances are good all around, as said before, Montand is a bit dull in his role, but his relationship with Berle in the film is fairly entertaining, while Monroe and Randall give off a very natural chemistry. Montand and Monroe is pretty awkward through most of the film, though since this very idea is what the film is based on, maybe it's not such a bad thing.

Overall a must-see for Monroe fans!
