Review of Let's Go to Prison (2006) by Brittanny D — 10 Oct 2012
I don't really understand why this movie has such bad reviews. I mean, if you are looking for something truly revolutionary in the world of comedy, indeed, you'd best be looking elsewhere because you're headed in the wrong direction (and also, if you find such a thing, be sure to let me know). If you just wanna sit back and be ridiculous for a while? Tune in. I personally found the collection of cliches and relatively simple plotline enjoyable--I was at least interested in all of the characters and just liked the whole idea in general. There are so many times I find myself cracking up just thinking about different scenes. ("After all we've been through, one friend can't give another friend a soda without that friend thinking that the second friend put a roofie in it? Wow. Well that hurts, pal." Of course the soda has a roofie in it. The scene is way more hilarious in the movie than just a quote can portray.).
I guess maybe it takes a certain sense of humor. I found laughs around every corner and pretty much wanna re-watch every month or two.
Tl;dr, a hilarious movie if you'll just let it be.
