Review of Let's Do It Again (1975) by Christopher P — 19 Oct 2008
Sidney Poitier is a great actor, but I just can't buy him in a comedy. His best work has always been intensely dramatic, and he's most famous (and rightly, most acclaimed) for films that have cast him in the role of "angry black man".
Watching Poitier goofing around with Bill Cosby is like watching Tina Fey playing Lady Macbeth. It just doesn't hold water.
