Review of Let's Be Cops (2014) by Jacob — 10 May 2015
Let’s Be Cops cop abuse premise is a good foundation for a film but it doesn’t lead anywhere good. The main characters like any sort of fun chemistry, which is partially due to the weak writing and the film at times takes itself way too seriously.
When the film starts with The Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way” I groaned knowing the whole film would be like this and it was having an overabundance of pop songs. If you want to see a great film about two dudes impersonating high authority figures watch The Road to El Dorado but skip this.
