Let's Be Cops in a word is disappointing. Take two of the most charismatic stars on television, pair them up and let them play off each other for an hour and a half. You would think that would be a no brainer.
Unfortunately, with flat writing, stale direction and situations stolen from funnier cop movies, this one is a dud. The movie isn't terrible, thanks to the two leading men, but even Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans don't get the banter necessary to make this one anything you'll remember.
From one gag to the next, it is always crude, physical humour that has no heart behind it. Judging from the writers and directors other credits, this isn't a huge surprise, but both of these actors deserve better.
Save your money and watch this one when its on Blu Ray.
