Review of Let's All Hate Toronto (2007) by Pamela M — 29 Jan 2008
More of a "mock"umentary than a show that actually looks seriously at the deep seated anti-Toronto mentality that most of Canada has...but that's what makes it a fun show to watch. Torontonians should watch this to have a little bit of an understanding of how the rest of the country views them, and also understand that much of it is tongue-in-cheek.
Canada wouldn't be the same without T.O., but who's to say it wouldn't be better? (jk I'm from Calgary, after all) I did agree with one of the final statements of the film, that the city that hates Toronto the most is, well, Toronto.
Stand up and take actual pride in your city and maybe the rest of the nation will follow. Both sides of the issue are well-presented and it's a fun, short movie that is well worth seeing.
